Clinical Workflows Coordinator
Yanessi joined us formally at the beginning of January 2016, as a Clinical Workflows Coordinator. Yanessi will spearhead our efforts to provide you, our patients, with the most comprehensive care possible. For example, she will spearhead a health coaching initiative from Clarii Health. This health coaching program is free to you, and pairs you with a coach in our office, so that you are truly taken care of 24/7!
Over the past several years, Yanessi demonstrated a deep dedication to healthcare and wellness. She is a Registered Medical Assistant. She also holds a Master’s certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching. In addition to her clinical work, she has also held leadership positions, including Clinical Manager of a large practice. Her references speak very highly of Yanessi, her utmost work ethics, respect and dedication to patients, team spirit and perpetual willingness to help.
On a personal level, Yanessi is married, and has 3 children and among other things, donates her time as a volunteer and health coach at the Howard County Pregnancy Center (special focus on Spanish speaking young mothers).
I am a bilingual and bicultural health professional with over 12 years of experience in various roles including Department Clinical Manager and Registered Medical Assistant. My bilingual and bicultural skills are especially coveted in assessing a treatment plan for patients of various backgrounds. In addition, I have drafted and implemented staff training, policies, procedures and protocols which further enhance our practice’s patient relations, education and retention.
I was selected for a competitive internship program at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Technology department. In addition to the depth and breadth of my experience in the health field, I hold a BS in Psychology and Minor in Forensic Science; holding certifications as a Registered Medical Assistant, CPR, and graduated with a Master’s Certificate from Maryland University of Integrative Health as Health and Wellness Coach.
